Top 5 Final Pictures From Photoshoot and Evaluation

When taking this picture it went well as I got the correct angle and I was able to get a clear view without the picture going blurry. After taking this picture I then edited it using Photoshop all I done was change it into black and white as before it was in colour, green and white. When editing this picture it went well as I was not only able to add the black and white effect but I was able to change the red, blue and yellow colours in it to make it have a really different effect than plain black and white. I didn’t think anything went wrong with this picture as I am happy with the way it has turned out. If I was to have more time editing this then I would probably make it colourful and black and white. This picture was taken in daylight but because I was trying to take it at a straight angle it got a wider shot instead of close up. This picture was taken in Witney on a grey cloudy day but looking at the original picture (colour) I think the edit; black and white one looks so much better and make the snow drops stand out.
When taking this picture it went well but I was in a bit of a rush to take it before the deer ran off. It turned out a little bit blurry and the angle and colour of the picture went really well. Once taking it I also edited this one just to adjust the colour and the lighting to make the subject of the picture stand out compared to the background. The photo was really blurry until I edited it but now it's been edited you can see it clearly. I don't think else went wrong with this picture as it is light and clear. If I was able to take this picture again I would take my time to focus in on the subject to get a better quality picture that isn't as blurry. I took this picture on a grey cloudy day so the background wasn’t very great quality. The original picture looks really grey but whilst I was editing it I manage to make the picture look natural and like it was actually a nice bright day so I am really please with the picture.  Overall I think I managed to get a really good picture of the deer as you can see most of the detail and it looks amazing as I zoomed in on them and was surprised at the quality of it.

This photo went well when taking it as I managed to get the detail in the picture and make it clear, the colours stand out really well with the lighting in the background. I like this picture as it is really nice the way the flower is hanging over, and the colours of it. It was taken from underneath the flower so I could get the head of the flower in the whole of the picture.
I don't think anything went wrong when taking this picture as it came out clear and really focused. I however didn't edit the picture as I was able to zoom in with the camera and take the picture to make it stand out. If I was to take the picture again I probably would change the settings on the camera so I can get it focused even more so the dark colours stand out a little bit more. I took this picture at the botanical gardens in oxford.  I like the way I managed to get a close up of it so viewers automatically know what the subject of the picture is.  It took me quite a while to get a good angle view of this flower but all I wanted was to be able to get the whole of the flower in and the detail.

When taking this picture I thought it went very well as the lighting has made the colours stand out really well from the background. It was a really good angle to take the picture at as it wouldn't fit in portrait ways so I had to take it landscape way. This picture is the original one as I haven’t edited it. I am really happy with the quality of the picture but the only reason I didn't edit it was because I thought it would ruin the quality and lighting of the picture. I think nothing went wrong as I said I am happy with the way it turned out and it is genuinely a good quality photo without being edited as the lighting from the background really makes the colours stand out. This picture was taken at the botanical gardens in oxford. The only reason why it is a good quality picture is because it was a sunny day and was indoors in the greenhouse at the botanical garden. I really like the way the pink and green colours merge however the plant is mainly pink but still looks really colourful. This plant was quite big so I only took a picture of a part of it.

When taking this picture I thought it went really well considering it was taken on a beach in a cave. It was dark out at the time I was taking it but because of the light I had it meant I was able to take a really good photo of the fresh water pools without it being blurry. I like the way the fresh water pools have been created as the water has made little dents in the rock. I also like the way I took the photo as it was at a really good angle so I got all the detail in. I did end up editing this photo as the background lighting wasn’t very bright which made the picture look old. However once editing it, it looked a lot better with the lighting which gave it a really good effect as all I did was make the contrast of the picture higher which made it brighter. I think the only thing that went wrong with this picture was the lighting as the lighting was poor quality so if I was to take it again I would take it in daylight to make the lighting better quality so I wouldn't have to edit it.

Analysing Imagery

Advertising
The content of the work is about promoting what the shop has on offer. The subject matter is immediately obvious as it is stated in big white letters what the pomotion is. The subject matter contains social content as it is eye catching so people stop to read it and then the word gets around about it by others. The image has been accurately represented as the number and percentage sign has been made larger than the other words to stand out, it also is eye catching as it stands out meaning it can be read clearly as the background doesn't effect it. There isn't really a colour scheme as it is wrote all in white pen/ paint that is readable keeping in with the tone. It is spread right across the window filling all the space in capital letters and the important words are wrote bigger to stand out more. This work contains happy qualities as when people read it they are drawn into buying the products as they feel they are getting a bargin!.. This suggests it is quit noisy as it is basically calling customers into the shop. I would discribe the work as being hot as said before it's like it's calling cutomers and it is very well presented so it stands out, but the colours suggest it is cold as it's a plain colour. This creates a happy mood for the public and for people who are looking to save money.
They have used a big white pen/ paint to create this image, however I think they composed the image quickly as it isn't really accurate but I think there was planning that went into where, how and what they were going to say. The skill the artist would need would be to be able to spell, read and write as they have to write on the window what's on offer, read it to make sure it's right.
.The content of the work is to advertise the product thats on offer, the subject matter is again immediately obvious as it is clearly stated what is on offer, the subject matter contains social content as it it promoting a product. The work is arranged on a poster using colours that are bold but stand out. The offer is presented in a speech bubble which attracts the readers eye. This image contains a reoccurring image of the energy drink which also attracts the publics eye as they will be interested in it because it is on offer. The artist is trying to convey an happy feeling to make the public feel happy about the product on offer. The colours create a dark mood as do the colours as they are dark colours to,  which creates a cold temperature of the work. The materials used to create this image would have been designing and printing but I do think the artist would of spent a long time compose. I think the artist would need a few skills such as artist skills to design and print the image.

Architecture
The content of the work is to hang flower baskets off of it, the subject matter is not immediately identifiable as it just looks like a statue that has been put their but actually hanging flower baskets get hung off of it. If you was to see another one the same but with flowers hanging off of it then it would be immediately obvious but otherwise not. There isn't really any re-occurring shapes appart from the design on it which determines the composition. If there was flowers hanging off of it then it would create a happy mood as it would be colourful but it is quiet aswell. I think the artist is trying to create a happy feeling around the atmosphere of the public, this creates a cold temperature but as said before it would be hot if their was flowers hanging off of it. The materials used to create this image was metal and construction tools. The artist probably made sketches to design this and then they used the sketches for planning where to put it aswell.

The content of the work is about showing the time and what way the sun is pointing, but the building represents Witney as it was built ages ago and goes back in the history of witney. The subject matter is not really obvious as there is nothing with any information engraved on it, but if you was to goto the information center then they would have lots of leaflets on it and the history of it. The image has been accurately represented as it is part of Witney and is an architecture. It is composed in an accurate way. The work contains happy qualities as it people appriciate having the time when they cannot get to their phone or watch. The artist probaly made sketches before creating the final piece. I think the image was composed quickly because it isn't really detailed.

Fine Art
The content of the work is about the seasons changing and flowers dieing for winter. The subject matter is obvious as you can identify straight away that the flowers are dieing because of the brown flowers in the picture. The image has been distorted as it isn't really accurate as it wasn't aimed to get the picture neat. The work was composed there is a black, brown and green colour sceme in this image. There is lots of reocurring shapes that determine the composition of the work. The work contains happy qualities as it is really nice to get into the winter spirit but it is quite quiet as it doesn't stand out majorly to some other fine art images. To create this image there hasn't been any materials used as it is the world changing seasons it is natural. I think the it was composed of a long period of time to get a really eye catching image. I think the artist would need very good camera skills to create this image.
.The content of this image is to decorate and bring a stairway to live, give it colour. The subject matter is immediately obvious as people notice them when walking up the stairs as they stand out. The subject matter has social content as people talk about the image if they like them. The image has bee accurately represented as it has been taken to get all of the design in the image.  The work has been carefully but neatly been arranged on the page. It has been composed accurately and also using a really contrasting colour scheme, keeping in with the tone. The shapes in the image are formed so people can see that they are shaped as sun's, this determine's the composition of the work. The image contains a happy mood but very quiet as people ethier admire the artwork or they don't, also it is very quiet as it isn't something that jumps out.  The image creates a calm mood as the colours used are plain. To create the image the artist has used mosaic tiles and paint to paint them. The artist would of make sketches before creating the final piece as they would need to know what they want them to look like, how big and what colours. I think the image was composed quickly as it probably wouldn't take long to create the mosaic sun's. I think the artist would need artistic skills, reading and writing as they would off had to make plans and drawings for them.

Portraiture

The content of this work is about posing in a picture for a portraiture image. The subject matter is immediately obvious as they are posing so you can tell what it is about straight away. The image has been exaggerated as they made the pose up so I could take a picture. The work has been arranged to look like a portraiture picture. The colour scheme used mainly keeps in tone with all the other images I took in Witney. This creates a happy mood as it shows people enjoying making a pose for a portaiture picture. The artist is trying to create a happy feeling. The colours in the image create a happy mood as they are suttle but calm. There hasn't been any materials used to create the image as I just asked them if I could take a picture for portraiture. The artist would just need good camera skills to produce the image, the image was composed quickly as I took it really quickly before they moved.

The content of the work is about portraiture and posing to take a picture. The subject matter is immediately obvious because if people see this they can immediately tell what it is about. The subject matter is social as people may talk about the image and what it is about.  The image isn't accurately represented as I was walking when I took this picture so it was exaggerated. The work is arranged neatly on the page but was composed quickly. The reoccurring shapes used in the picture is people walking and moving but this is know as a still image and the reoccuring shapes, determines the composition of the work. The work contains a happy/everyday life mood as it let's peoples mind think about what is going on in the image as we see people walking along the streets. This is also quite a noisy image as there are lots of people everywhere and different people would think different things. The artist is trying to create a happy/everyday life feeling as stated before it makes people think about whats going on in the photo. The temperature of the work is quite hot as it make people happy. The colours create a warm mood as there are alot of dark/warm colours in the image. There wasn't any materials used to create the image appart from a camera to take it. I think the image was composed quickly as it isn't incrediably neat. The only skills I think an artist would need to create the image would be photography skills.

Statment Of Intent

The topic I have decided to do is fine art. I intent to take close up photos of nature and objects that relate to fine art. The reason why I have chosen this is because it appealed to me unlike the other topics. The reason for this is because I like taking pictures of nature like flowers, sceneries and wild animals.
The client I have decided is going to be for a gallery which have a range of fine art photography. The purpose of this is because you wouldn’t find nature photos in a fashion magazine or shops depending on what kind of shop it is. The reason why I have aimed my photos to a gallery is because I think it will be more formal than a magazine or the internet as if it’s in a gallery then there will be more chance of people viewing the photos and inspiring them.

My location will be based around Witney and Oxford  because I am planning to goto the botanical garens. I chose these locations as it will be easy for me to travel and it won’t cost a lot. I won’t need any people for the topic I have chosen but the only props I will need is a camera so I can shoot the pictures then upload them to my computer. For the photo shoot I will need to take a minimum of 50 photos so I plan to spend at least 2 days shooting as I won’t be able to spend all day on it. I think it will take me about 3 hours each day to shoot different types of nature photos.
